Humanity is built on stories.

There is a narrative behind every decision, invention, and revolution.

It's why we wrote lyrics for our music, gave our religious manuals plot structure, and invented the printing press, the radio, and the cinema.

So I have one question...

Should your media ask more of you, or should you ask more of your media?

The man in Times Square says you deserve a listicle.
The man in Hollywood says you deserve a reboot.
The man in the corner office says you deserve a procedural drama.

I said otherwise.
I believed in something better, and out of this belief came OpenArticle.

It is a journal not bound by topic, word count, or convention.
It is a bastion for purposeful creation.
It is a leveed city safe from the muck of our flooded markets.

It is a place for the narrative to take precedence.

Humanity is built upon stories.

The pillars of modern industry have sold their INTEGRITY in exchange for the cotton gin; the loom; the assembly line. They have forgotten how to sow the seeds of longevity.
